Telehealth (computer, tablet, iPad, or smartphone connected to the internet) or Virtual Visit (via regular telephone) will enable you to keep your appointment from the comfort and safety of your home. Telehealth is for Medicare and most insurances, except Medicaid. Virtual Visit is for Medicare only.

A native of Amman, Jordan, Abbas El-Khatib, M.D. received a medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman. He fulfilled his nephrology fellowship at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
In the late 1990s, Dr. El-Khatib served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, West Virginia. His professional memberships include the American Society of Nephrology and the American College of Physicians.
Most recently, Dr. El-Khatib served as Medical Chief, Section of Nephrology at King Hussein Cancer Center, Amman, Jordan.
Nephrologists are educated in internal medicine and then undergo additional training to specialize in treating patients with kidney problems. Kidney conditions addressed by nephrology include:
